West Clermont Concert Bands
2023 OMEA Professional Development Conference
The WC Symphonic 1 Band was one of four ensembles selected to perform during the 2023 Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference. They will perform the Columbus Convention Center's Ballroom A111-1115 at 11am on Friday, February 3, 2023. The concert is free. All are welcome to attend.
The West Clermont Instrumental Music program is proud to offer multiple concert bands. Two even ensembles: Concert Band: Navy, and Concert Band: Silver. And two ensembles featuring the most advanced musicians in the district: Symphonic Bands 1 & 2. All students in the district will be auditioned and placed in the ensemble that is most appropriate for their development. The concert bands meet daily during the school day throughout the year and consists of students grades 9-12. The primary focus of the concert band is to provide students with a quality music experience in which they are developing and refining instrument playing fundamentals and building ensemble playing skills. Students who participate in concert band are able to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities such as marching band, jazz band, pep band, and percussion ensemble. Prerequisite: middle school band experience or private lessons with teacher approval.
Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Bands are two auditioned groups comprised primarily of 10th - 12th grade students at West Clermont High School. Symphonic Band will perform the most challenging music available at four concerts, and other outside musical opportunities when they present themselves. Students in Symphonic Band are encouraged to take private lessons and participate in honor bands around the tri-state. Marching band is highly encouraged for all students in the West Clermont Bands.
Concert Navy/Concert Silver

Both concert bands are populated by students in grade 9-12. Concert band will focus on refining instrument playing skills while performing the highest quality music literature available. The bands will perform three concerts during the school year and OMEA adjudicated events. Marching band is highly encouraged for all students in the West Clermont Bands.
