Dear Community Members, 

 

It's that time of year again! The marching band has started practicing for halftime shows and competitions while the incoming sixth graders have eagerly chosen their instruments. Through our music programs, students in grades 6-12 benefit from improvement in concentration, self-discipline, empathy, and self-esteem. Competitions teach students teamwork, perseverance and good sportsmanship. 

 

We need your support now more than ever.

 

The money we raise covers costs including, but not limited to: uniforms, transportation, instrument repairs and purchases, music arrangements, show designs, camps, competitions, and outside clinicians. Every year the West Clermont Band Program is represented in marching band, jazz band, winter guard, winter percussion, and solo and ensemble contests with other bands from the region. This past spring we marched in the Red's Findlay Market Opening Day Parade, and we traveled to Orlando to march at Magic Kingdom in Disney World! Without the help of our local community, we would not be able to provide our students with these amazing opportunities.

West Clermont School District is fortunate to have dedicated staff and selfless volunteers as well as partners like you to support us. We invite you to join us for the 4th annual West Clermont Marching Band Invitational on October 29, where marching bands from around our region will gather to compete at our high school. We will also host the Mid-States AAA Marching Band Championship on November 5.
