Emerging Musicians Program

Teens across the country are struggling with sadness, loneliness, stress, and anxiety as a result of the pandemic. Students in the West Clermont School District are no exception. The gift of music may be key to alleviating this problem. Participation in a music program has been shown to help foster a sense of belonging and improve academic performance. The West Clermont Band Boosters (WCBB) created the Emerging Musicians Program to sponsor private lessons and provide instruments for students who desire to play at the highest level but face financial hardship.

One goal of the program is to get elementary students involved in and excited about music and to inspire them to join the band in middle school. As a result, they spend more time around positive influences, including teachers, students, and families, potentially avoiding a chronically-absent future.

If you would like to give one of our emerging musicians the gift of music, please make your tax-deductible donation through the PayPal link below. Or mail your check (made payable to West Clermont Band Boosters) to: Emerging Musicians Program, PO Box 755, Batavia, Ohio 45103.
